Amsterdam Light Festival
The Amsterdam Light Festival turns the city into a magical light art show every winter. Running from November 30, 2023, to January 21, 2024, the festival lights up the city center. The lights are on from Sunday to Tuesday at 5.00-10.00pm, and extend to 11.00pm from Wednesday to Saturday. Explore the bright route using the festival app; some fees may apply. The best way to see the lights is by LEKKER bike, walking or taking a boat tour.

Ice Skating at Rembrandtplein
From November 17, 2023, to January 7, 2024, the iconic Rembrandtplein hosts an ice skating rink, open daily from 10am to 11pm. You can find good seasonal food and drink by the rink, warm up with hot cocoa to Glühwein. The rink is surrounded by friendly bars and restaurants, perfect for a break.

Ice Village Christmas Market at Museumplein
Open from December 13 to December 26, the Ice Village Christmas Market at Museumplein is a festive treat. Operating daily from 11am, this market is situated right by the Rijksmuseum. Besides various Amsterdam-themed souvenirs, the market features a selection of tasty food stalls, adding a delightful twist to your holiday shopping. After exploring the market, hang out at Museumplein where you can find the Moco and Van Gogh museums.

Christmas Eve Cycling Adventure
Enjoy a bike ride through the festive Amsterdam city center on Christmas Eve. The streets are lit up with holiday estive touch to the holiday season. Along the way, you'll discover a variety of museums, bars, and restaurants in the city center. As you go, you might spot the grand Christmas tree at Dam Square, providing a beautiful setting for holiday photos. Immerse yourself in the cheerful atmosphere, capturing the essence of Christmas in the heart of the city.
