At LEKKER Bikes, we strive to provide riders with the best eBiking experience possible, ensuring their adventures are not only enjoyable but also safe and worry-free. We have partnered with TÜV - an independent service company that tests, inspects and certifies technical systems - to achieve the EN 15194 Certification for our new Gen3 collection and latest accessories.
With the EN 15194 certification and the support of institutions like the TÜV Center, we can deliver eBikes that meet and exceed expectations, providing riders with a safe, reliable, and unforgettable eBiking experience.
Safety Certification: Your Peace of Mind
EN 15194 Certification is not just a label for us at LEKKER, it's a symbol of our unwavering commitment to safety and quality. This certification, mandatory for power-assisted pedal cycles in regions like the UK, France, and Australia, ensures rigorous safety checks for electric bikes, addressing mechanical, electrical, and fire safety concerns. Our eBikes proudly bear this certification, guaranteeing a comprehensive safety standard across all components, including our batteries. When you choose LEKKER, you choose unparalleled safety and peace of mind for your urban adventures.
But that’s not it. What about our Batteries?
All our batteries undergo a rigorous certification process to ensure their safety. They have obtained the CE testing and certification process and have the UN38.3 (certification for lithium batteries) and NEN-EN15194 certification for the European eBike directive. But that’s not all: we also have the CE-EMC certification and IEC 62133.Our batteries come with a Battery Management System (or in short, BMS) that protects them against everything from short circuits and too high or low temperatures.
The BMS is designed to prevent damage to the battery by monitoring and regulating charging and discharging, as well as the battery's overall health. This ensures that our batteries are safe and reliable for our customers. Lastly, the BMS allows us to make quick and easy diagnoses of the battery and will enable us to repair and maximise the product life cycle.
